Instructions for use of the article Collagen resorb sponges 3 x 7 cm: - Collagen resorb sponges are sterile, resorbable wound dressings and liners with haemostyptic properties. - Each sponge contains 2.8 mg equine native collagen fibrils and measures 3 x 7 cm. - The sponges are implantable, mouldable, highly absorbent, structurally stable and elastic in moist wound environments as well as biocompatible. - Areas of application include general surgery, thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery, maxillofacial surgery and HNO-surgery. - Source: Packaging information; www.resorba.com; as of 12/2020 KOLLAGEN resorbTM: - KOLLAGEN resorbTM is a soft, dimensionally stable collagen sponge for local haemostasis. - It consists of collagen fibrils of equine origin and has positive properties such as biocompatibility, biodegradability, osteoconductivity, angioconductivity, pH stability and non-antigenicity. - Possible indications for KOLLAGEN resorbTM are wound care and haemostyptic for various bleedings, temporary skin replacement, covering of skin removal sites, temporary covering of burns, defect filling and haemostasis after orthopaedic surgery and as a carrier material for fibrin glue. - 5] resorbTM can be used in various surgical disciplines for local haemostasis. - Areas of application include general surgery, gynaecology, thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery, orthopaedics and trauma surgery, maxillofacial surgery and HNO-surgery. - The sponge can be applied dry or moist to the open wound surfaces. - Each sponge is individually sterile packed and can be customised. - Ingredients per cm2: 2.8 mg collagen fibrils of equine origin.
