UrgoStart Tül is a non-adherent, non-occlusive gauze wound dressing with the TLC-NOSF-Wound Healing Matrix® that does not adhere to the wound. It consists of a polyester mesh coated with the non-adherent TLC-NOSF-Wound Healing Matrix®. The dressing accelerates wound healing and maintains a favourable physiological environment for wound healing. It provides atraumatic and painless dressing changes for patients and is highly conformable. This dressing is suitable for the treatment of chronic wounds such as lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers as well as chronic acute wounds. It can also be used to cover fissured wounds, wounds in difficult locations and to tampon deep wounds. The dressing is recommended for wounds with a sensitive wound environment. Before applying the dressing, the wound should be cleansed according to the usual care protocol. The wound environment should be dried thoroughly and the size of the dressing can be adjusted if necessary. The dressing should be covered and secured with a secondary dressing. The dressing should be changed every 2 to 4 days and can be left on the wound for up to 7 days. A treatment duration of at least 8 weeks is recommended. The use of UrgoStart Tül is contraindicated in cancerous (tumour-induced) wounds and fistula-like wounds showing deep-seated pus formation (abscess).
