Duraultra N sine is a vasoconstrictor medicine that is used locally in the eye.It is used for non-infectious and allergic forms of conjunctivitis.It can also be used for concomitant inflammation of the conjunctiva in general allergic diseases such as hay fever, irritation of the conjunctiva and eyelids without bacterial findings, for example due to dust, smoke or drafts.Further treatment with Duraultra N sine is also possible after antibacterial therapy of the front section of the eye or after ophthalmological measures such as foreign body removal.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Duraultra N sine eye drops is naphazoline hydrochloride.One milliliter of the eye drops contains 1 milligram of naphazoline hydrochloride, with one drop containing approximately 0.038 milligrams of the active ingredient.The other ingredients are polyvinyl alcohol, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment and water for injections.

Duraultra N sine eye drops are used for non-infectious and allergic conjunctivitis as well as for irritation of the conjunctiva and eyelids caused by allergies, smoke, dust or drafts.The agent can also be used after ophthalmological procedures or antibacterial therapy.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage and application

To use, take a strip of single-dose containers from a bag and separate a dose.Open the single-dose container by twisting off the top closure part.Bend your head back slightly, look up and pull your lower eyelid slightly away from your eye.Drip one drop into the lower conjunctival sac, avoiding any contact with the eye.After instillation, slowly close your eyes.

The recommended dose for adults and school children is one drop twice a day until the symptoms subside.If necessary, the dosage can be increased to one drop four times a day.The eye drops should only be used for a short time, a maximum of seven days, without a doctor's order.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using Duraultra N sine in children under two years of age as the medicine must not be used in this age group.Long-term use and overdose should be avoided in children aged two and over, as this should only be done under medical supervision.Patients with severe cardiovascular disease, an adrenal tumor, an enlarged prostate or metabolic disorders should only use the drug after carefully weighing the benefits and risks.

If you wear contact lenses, they should be removed before instillation and not reinserted until at least 15 minutes after instillation.You must not drive a vehicle or use any tools or machines, as in rare cases the pupils may dilate and blurred vision may occur after use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Duraultra N sine must not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy.The medicine should not be used during the rest of your pregnancy as there are no sufficient data on possible effects on the unborn child.It should not be used during breastfeeding as it is not known whether the active ingredient passes into breast milk.

Storage instructions

Store Duraultra N sine at a temperature not exceeding 25°C and protect it from light.The one-dose containers are intended for single use.After opening the sealed pouch, the unopened one-dose containers have a shelf life of 12 months.Open sealed bags should be stored in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.
