Instructions for use of the article RC Cornet: The RCcornet is a respiratory therapy device used for lower respiratory tract conditions. It can help loosen stubborn bronchial mucus, reduce shortness of breath and make it easier to cough up mucus. The RCcornet is one of the oscillating PEP-devices (OPEP). When you exhale into the mouthpiece, a positive pressure is created that massages the mucous membranes. This dilates the bronchial tubes and loosens and removes the secretions in the lungs. The respiratory therapy device is easy to use and clean. It can be used in any body position, even when lying down. Cleaning can be done by boiling, vaporiser or the RC-Clean cleaning bag in the microwave. The Basic Cornet offers different settings on the mouthpiece to widen narrowed airways and exercise the bronchial muscles. Regular respiratory physiotherapy can make breathing easier and improve quality of life. In addition, the device can also help loosen bronchial mucus and make it easier to cough up. The basic Cornet can be expanded with accessories as needed, e.g. with a nebuliser for inhalation therapy or with the RC-mask tracheostoma for tracheotomised patients.
