Area of application

This medicine contains the active ingredient pantoprazole, which reduces the production of stomach acid by blocking a specific pump.It is used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux in adults.Reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus and irritates it, which can lead to a burning sensation in the chest and a sour taste in the mouth.

Symptoms may be relieved after just one day of use, but it may be necessary to take the medication for 2 to 3 days to achieve significant improvement.No prescription is required for this product.

This medicine contains 20 mg pantoprazole as the active ingredient.In addition, it contains the following excipients: carmellose, sodium salt, crospovidone, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x-water, Eudragit L 100 - 55, hypromellose, isomalt, sodium dodecyl sulfate, sodium stearyl fumarate, polysorbate 80, povidone K25, propylene glycol, simeticone, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate, trisodium phosphate and 1 mmol total sodiumion.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to pantoprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.It should also not be taken together with HIV-protease inhibitors such as atazanavir or nelfinavir.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose is 1 tablet daily, although the daily dose of 20 mg pantoprazole should not be exceeded.

It should be taken over at least 2 to 3 consecutive days.Stop taking it as soon as you are free of symptoms.If you do not notice any improvement after 2 weeks of continuous use, contact your doctor.Do not take the medicine for more than 4 weeks without consulting your doctor.

If you have taken more than recommended, tell your doctor or pharmacist.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take a dose.Simply continue taking it at the next time.

Intake

Take the tablet at the same time every day before a meal.Swallow the tablet whole with a little water.Do not bite or break the tablet.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine if you have had long-term treatment for heartburn or indigestion, are older than 55 years and treat indigestion on a daily basis, or if you have certain health conditions such as liver problems or a history of stomach ulcers.

Do not take this medicine for more than 4 weeks without consulting your doctor.Tell your doctor if symptoms have not resolved after 2 weeks.Long-term use may lead to reduced absorption of vitamin B12 and other risks.

Tell your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms that could indicate a more serious condition, such as unintentional weight loss, vomiting blood, blood in stools, difficulty swallowing, or severe skin reactions.

The medicine should not be taken by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.If side effects such as dizziness or visual disturbances occur, you should not drive or operate machines.
