Instructions for use of the article KOCHSALZ 0.9% ISOTON ECO P Isotonic saline solution 0.9% Brown is a saline solution used for fluid and electrolyte replacement in various conditions. It is used to replace fluid deficiency, sodium and fluid deficiency, hypochloraemic alkalosis and chloride loss. It is also used in the short term to replenish the vascular system, as a carrier solution for electrolyte concentrates and medications, for wound treatment and to moisten cloths and dressings. There are certain cases in which the use of Isotonic Saline Solution 0.9% Brown should be avoided, such as overhydration or certain diseases that require sodium intake to be withheld. If used together with other medicines, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. The dosage of the solution depends on the fluid and electrolyte requirements of the patient. The maximum dose is 40 ml per kg body weight per day. Side effects may include increased sodium and chloride levels in the blood. The Isotonic Saline Solution 0.9% Brown should be kept out of reach of children and should be used within 24 hours after opening. The solution contains sodium chloride as the active ingredient and is available in different sizes.
