Instructions for use for Vidisept Edo One Dose Ophtiolen (30x0.6 ml)
Description
Vidisept Edo One dose Ophtiolen is a tear substitute that is used for the symptomatic treatment of drying out of the cornea and conjunctiva. These can arise from tear secretion and tear dysfunction, which can be both local and systemic.Symptoms such as burning eyes, a foreign body sensation, photophobia in wind and heat, and a feeling of tiredness in the eyes can occur. The eye drops can also be used to moisten and re-lubricate soft and hard contact lenses, even while they are being worn.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The eye drops contain 12 mg of Povidone K25 as the active ingredient.Boric acid, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections are included as excipients.
Contraindications
The preparation must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Dosage
The medicine should always be used according to the instructions. If you are unsure, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.Depending on your needs, 1 drop can be dripped into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times a day or more often.Dry eye therapy requires individual dosage and often long-term treatment. The number of applications can be increased depending on the severity of the symptoms.A new one-dose ophthiol should be used for each application. It is not necessary to remove the contact lenses from the eye to re-wet contact lenses.
Health risks due to application errors, including accidental ingestion or overdose, are not known and are not to be expected due to the composition of the product. If you have used too little of the medicine or have forgotten to use it, do not double the dose next time, but rather use it as quickly as possible and then continue dosing with the same amount and at the same time interval.
Application
The preparation is intended for use on the eyes.
Patient information
Particular care is required when using to avoid contamination of the dropper tip and solution. The dropper tip should not touch the eyelid, the area around the eye, or other surfaces.Since the instillation into the conjunctival sac of the eye can result in blurred vision that only lasts a few minutes due to the formation of streaks, you should not operate machines, work without a secure grip, or drive during this time.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
No specific studies have been performed on pregnant patients. The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be carried out after careful risk-benefit assessment by the doctor. Before using the product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Notes
No prescription is required for this product.
Other
Hard and soft contact lenses can be worn while using the eye drops. If other eye drops or eye ointments are also used, there should be at least a period of 15 minutes between the use of the different medications and the medication should always be used last. After instillation into the conjunctival sac of the eye, blurred vision that only lasts a few minutes can occur due to the formation of streaks. You should therefore not operate any machines or drive on the roads during this time.
