Instructions for use for Vidisept Edo One Dose Ophtiolen (120x0.6 ml)
Area of application
Vidisept Edo One Dose Ophtiolen is a tear substitute that is used for the symptomatic treatment of drying out of the cornea and conjunctiva, also known as dry eye. These complaints can arise from disorders of tear secretion or function, which can be local or systemic.Incomplete eyelid closure can also lead to such symptoms.Typical signs include burning eyes, a foreign body sensation, photophobia in wind and heat, and a feeling of tiredness in the eyes.
In addition, the eye drops are used to wet and re-wet soft and hard contact lenses, even while they are being worn.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
The eye drops contain 12 mg of Povidone K25 as the active ingredient.Excipients include boric acid, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections.
Contraindications
The product must not be used if you are allergic to povidone (K25) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional. The recommended dose is 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times daily or more often as needed.Dry eye therapy requires individual dosage and long-term treatment is often required. The number of applications can be increased individually depending on the severity of the symptoms.
If you have used a larger amount than you should, no health risks are known and are not expected due to the composition of the product. If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.Apply the application as quickly as possible and then continue dosing with the same amount and at the same time interval.

Intake
The eye drops are intended for use on the eyes.A new one-dose ophthiol should be used for each application. It is not necessary to remove the contact lenses from the eye to re-wet contact lenses.
Patient information
Please talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using the medicine. To avoid contamination of the dropper tip and solution, do not allow the dropper tip to come into contact with the eyelid, the area around the eye, or other surfaces.

Notes
For information about risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacy.
Other
Hard and soft contact lenses can be worn while using the eye drops. If other eye drops or eye ointments are also used, there should be at least a period of 15 minutes between the use of the different medications and the medication should always be used last. After instillation into the conjunctival sac of the eye, blurred vision that only lasts a few minutes can occur due to the formation of streaks. You should therefore not operate any machines or drive on the roads during this time.
