Areas of application

This herbal medicine is used for respiratory tract colds.It helps treat symptoms associated with thick mucus and supports mucus dissolution in acute bronchitis.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 42 mg thyme herb dry extract, produced with ethanol 70% (V/V) as an extractant.The following excipients are also included: Arabic gum, eucalyptus oil, glucose syrup (spray-dried), glucose, maltitol solution, thin paraffin, peppermint oil, saccharin sodium 2 water, highly disperse silicon dioxide and purified water.The total amount of carbohydrates is 0.035 BE.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if there is a known hypersensitivity to thyme or other mint plants as well as if there is a combined hypersensitivity to birch, mugwort and celery.It is not suitable for infants and young children under 2 years due to the risk of laryngeal spasm.Patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with severe hypersensitivity of the airways should not use the preparation as it can lead to shortness of breath or an asthma attack.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and children aged 6 and over should suck 3-4 lozenges 3 times a day and not chew them so that the active ingredients can develop in the throat area.It should be taken until symptoms subside.If you are unsure about the effect, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

If you have taken a larger amount than intended, poisoning from thyme preparations is not yet known.If you have any symptoms, please consult your doctor.If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose, but continue taking it regardless of the lozenge(s) you missed.

Intake

The lozenges should be sucked throughout the day.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product.If you have symptoms that last longer than a week, shortness of breath, fever or purulent/bloody sputum, you should consult a doctor immediately.Children under 6 years of age should not take the preparation as they could choke and there are no sufficient studies for this age group.

There are no known restrictions on the ability to drive or use machines for preparations containing thyme.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Although there are no known risks from the widespread use of thyme during pregnancy and breastfeeding, there are insufficient studies.Therefore, the preparation should not be taken during this time.
