Description

The lozenges contain dry extract from the herb of real thyme (Thymus vulgaris).The essential oils of thyme loosen thick mucus in the respiratory tract, soothe the affected bronchi and relieve inflammation.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

The preparation is a herbal medicine for respiratory colds.It is used to treat the symptoms of colds in the respiratory tract with viscous mucus and to loosen mucus in acute bronchitis.

Dosage

The recommended dose is: Adults and children aged 6 years and over suck 3-4 lozenges (126 mg - 168 mg thyme herb dry extract) 3 times a day as needed.If possible, the lozenges should be sucked (not chewed) so that the active ingredients can develop in the throat area.

The preparation should be taken until the symptoms subside.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

Poisonings from thyme preparations have not yet been reported and are not to be expected based on the current state of knowledge about thyme.If you still experience symptoms, please consult your doctor in the event of an overdose.

Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.The intake should be continued regardless of the missed lozenge(s).

Children under 6 years of age should not take the preparation as they could choke on the lozenges and there are no sufficient studies for this age group.

There are no known restrictions for preparations containing thyme.

Pregnancy

The widespread use of thyme as a medicine and food has not yet resulted in any indications of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, there are no results of sufficient investigations.Therefore, the preparation should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to thyme or other lamiaceae or any of the other ingredients mentioned, or if you have a combined hypersensitivity to birch, mugwort and celery.It must not be taken by infants and small children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm).Patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with severe hypersensitivity of the airways should not use the preparation as it can cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.

42 mg thyme herb dry extract, (6-10:1), extractant: ethanol 70% (V/V).Arabic gum, eucalyptus oil, glucose syrup, spray-dried, 8.925 mg glucose, maltitol solution, paraffin, thin, peppermint oil, saccharin sodium 2-water, silicon dioxide, highly disperse, water, purified, 0.035 BE total carbohydrates.

This medicine contains 8.925 mg of D-glucose per lozenge.If the dosage instructions are followed, up to 35.7 mg of D-glucose will be supplied with each application.
