Terbiderm 10 mg/g cream is used for the external treatment of fungal or yeast infections of the skin, such as athlete's foot. The cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride as the active substance. Before application, the affected skin areas and the hands should be thoroughly cleaned and dried. The cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin area and the surrounding skin areas and rubbed in gently. After application, the hands should be washed to prevent further spread of the infection. In the case of fungal infections in skin folds, the affected area can be covered with a clean gauze strip. The duration of application varies depending on the type of infection and is usually 1-2 weeks. Terbiderm cream should be applied regularly, even when the symptoms subside. Improvement of the skin condition should be seen within a few days. However, it can take up to four weeks for the damaged skin to heal completely. If there is no improvement after two weeks, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. To support the treatment, good hygiene is important to avoid further infection or spread. Terbiderm cream should be kept out of the reach of children and used within 6 months after opening. The exact dosage and instructions for use should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist.
