The active ingredient in Fluimucil children's juice is acetylcysteine with a concentration of 200 mg per 10 ml of juice.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: sodium edetate, sodium benzoate, carmellose sodium, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, saccharin sodium, sodium hydroxide, raspberry flavor, propylene glycol, ethanol, purified water and sodium ions.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.In addition, Fluimucil children's juice must not be used in children under 2 years of age.

Dosage

Always take Fluimucil children's juice exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The dosage depends on the age of the child:

Children 2 to 5 years old should take 5 ml of the solution 2 to 3 times a day, which is equivalent to 100 mg of acetylcysteine 2 to 3 times a day.Children from 6 to 14 years old should take 10 ml of the solution 2 times a day, which corresponds to 200 mg of acetylcysteine 2 times a day.Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over should take 10 ml of the solution 3 times a day, which corresponds to 200 mg of acetylcysteine 3 times a day.

If the condition worsens or there is no improvement after 4 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

No prescription is required for this product.

Intake

Fluimucil children's juice is taken after meals according to the dosage instructions.A slight smell of hydrogen sulfide that occurs when the product is stored is harmless and has no influence on the effectiveness and tolerability of the product as long as the expiry date has not been exceeded.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Fluimucil children's juice if you notice skin changes, suffer from bronchial asthma, have or have had a stomach or intestinal ulcer, suffer from histamine intolerance or have difficulty coughing up secretions.Mucolytics can cause airway obstruction in children under 2 years of age due to their airway nature and limited ability to cough up mucus.Therefore, mucolytics must not be used in children under 2 years of age.

The medicine has no influence or a negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Since there is insufficient experience with the use of acetylcysteine during pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only use the medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding if your doctor considers this to be absolutely necessary.
