Pantoprazole-ADGC 20 mg tablets are used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults. The active ingredient pantoprazole blocks the production of stomach acid, which leads to a reduction in the amount of acid in the stomach. The tablets should be taken unchewed with some water before a meal. The recommended daily dose is one tablet per day, which should be taken for at least 2-3 consecutive days. The duration of treatment should not exceed 4 weeks. If there is no improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks, a doctor should be consulted. There are certain situations in which Pantoprazole-ADGC should be taken with caution, e.g. liver problems, jaundice, stomach ulcers, or if new or changed symptoms occur. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take Pantoprazole-ADGC . Possible side effects of pantoprazole-ADGC may include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, constipation, dry mouth, skin rash, itching, feeling weak, feeling tired, sleep disturbances and increased liver enzymes. Severe side effects such as hypersensitivity reactions, skin reactions and liver or kidney problems are rare but may occur. It is recommended to report all side effects to the doctor or pharmacist. Pantoprazole-ADGC should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The tablets should be kept at room temperature (not above 30°C) and out of the reach of children.
