Description

Togal Classic Duo is an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine containing a combination of 250 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 200 mg of paracetamol.It is used for acute mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches and period pains.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Togal Classic Duo contains the active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid (ASS) and paracetamol.Acetylsalicylic acid reduces the production of prostaglandins, providing an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.Paracetamol also has a pain-relieving effect, but has fewer side effects than ASA.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients of Togal Classic Duo are acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol.One tablet contains 250 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 200 mg paracetamol.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 30, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid and highly disperse silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

Togal Classic Duo should not be used in the last three months of pregnancy and in children under 12 years of age.Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and heartburn may occur.If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be taken.

Dosage

Always take Togal Classic Duo exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 1 tablet to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.The single dose can be taken at intervals of 4 to 8 hours up to 4 times daily if necessary.Take the tablets with plenty of liquid and avoid taking them on an empty stomach.The product should not be used for longer than 4 days or in higher doses without medical or dental advice.

Intake

The medicine is taken whole with plenty of liquid and not on an empty stomach.Do not take it for more than 3 days without medical or dental advice.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product if you have hypersensitivity to other anti-inflammatory drugs or allergies.You should also consult beforehand if you have previously damaged kidneys, high blood pressure, cardiac insufficiency, before operations, during simultaneous treatment with anticoagulant drugs, chronic alcohol abuse, liver dysfunction, glutathione deficiency, hereditary enzyme deficiency, hemolytic anemia, dehydration, chronic malnutrition, a body weight of less than 50 kg or if you are older.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days, or if you have a high fever, you should see a doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy you may only take the medicine if your doctor tells you to.Do not use it in the last three months of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and baby.The active ingredients acetylsalicylic acid and paracetamol pass into breast milk.For short-term use or low doses, interruption of breastfeeding is usually not necessary.If you use it for a long time or take higher doses, you should stop breastfeeding.
