Information for use with the article Calcium D3 AL Effervescent Tablets: - This medicinal product contains the active ingredients calcium carbonate and colecalciferol and is used to treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency. - It is used to compensate for concomitant calcium and vitamin D deficiency in elderly people and in patients with osteoporosis to support specific treatment. - The recommended dose is 1 effervescent tablet per day, which is equivalent to 1000 mg of calcium and 880 IE vitamin D. - The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in 200 ml of water and taken immediately. - The duration of use should be determined individually. - The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the stated expiry date. - Medicinal products should not be disposed of in the sewage or household waste, but according to the instructions of a pharmacist. - An overdose may lead to increased calcium levels, increased calcium excretion in the urine and other side effects. - The medicinal product must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the active substances or other ingredients, or in the case of certain diseases. - Use is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding. - Possible side effects include increased calcium levels, constipation, abdominal pain and skin rash.
