Directions for use of the article Imidin N Nasal Spray: Imidin N Nasal Spray contains the active substance xylometazoline hydrochloride and is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucous membrane in the case of rhinitis, runny nose and allergic rhinitis. It has vasoconstrictor properties and thus causes swelling of the mucous membrane. The nasal spray is suitable for adults and schoolchildren from 6 years of age. The dosage for adults and children from 6 years of age is one spray into each nostril up to 3 times a day. The medicine should not be used for more than 7 days unless ordered by a doctor. It should only be used again after a break of several days. If you have any concerns about the effect, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. The nasal spray must not be used if you are allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients, suffer from rhinitis sicca or have had a surgical procedure that exposed the meninges. It should not be used in children under 6 years of age. Possible side effects include irritation of the nose, such as burning of the mucous membranes, sneezing and nasal congestion, and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. If there are signs of overdose such as nausea, fever, cramps and breathing difficulties, you should contact a doctor immediately. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use.
