Calcium Verla D 400 is a mineral preparation used in cases of proven calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency and for the supportive treatment of osteoporosis. The dosage for adults is 1 effervescent tablet twice a day. The tablets should be dissolved in water and drunk immediately after dissolution. The duration of use is determined by the doctor. Side effects may include increased calcium excretion in the urine, constipation, flatulence, nausea and itching. The medicine must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances, increased calcium levels, increased calcium excretion in the urine, renal calculi, calcium deposits in the kidney, vitamin D overdose and in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Calcium Verla D 400 should not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Before use, always read the package leaflet and ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice.
