It consists of a mesh of polyester fibres impregnated with hydrocolloid particles, paraffin, petrolatum and polymers. This special composition forms a lipidocolloid boundary layer that, in contact with the wound exudate gel, creates a favourable environment for the healing process. UrgoTül does not stick to the wound and wound edges, which allows for a painless and atraumatic dressing change. The dressing can be changed every 2 to 4 days depending on the wound being treated and the clinical condition. In venous leg ulcers, UrgoTül can be left in place for up to 7 days. In the treatment of wounds resulting from the hereditary disease epidermolysis bullosa, the dressing should be changed every 1 to 3 days. UrgoTül is applied directly to the wound and cut with a sterile instrument to adapt the size of the dressing to the wound and the wound environment.
