Instructions for use for BETAISODONA Ointment, 25 g

Betaisodona ointment is used for antiseptic wound treatment of damaged skin, superficial wounds, burns, infected and superinfected skin diseases. The ointment contains the active ingredient povidone-iodine, which has a germicidal effect. It should be applied once or several times a day until the symptoms subside. The duration of application should not exceed 2-5 days. The ointment is for external use only and should not be used for longer than 5 days. Possible side effects are hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. During application, the medicinal product should be kept away from heat. Before use, the package leaflet should be read and the doctor or pharmacist should be consulted in case of uncertainty.

I always use this ointment for small injuries on my hands, cuts or similar and then put a plaster on it, which heals faster.

I always have this ointment at home. It helps me a lot with wounds, especially because it removes/cleans dirt from the wounds. Unfortunately, you can't use it without a lot of plasters as the ointment is dark brown in colour.

I had an inflammation on my hand that was difficult to heal - I stuck a plaster over the ointment to protect it - so it could work for a particularly long time and also successfully. I applied new ointment and plasters every morning and evening. After four days everything was fine. Although the ointment has a dark purple colour, it can be easily washed out with water.

A very good, very effective healing ointment. I had a non-burn wound on my finger joint and the ointment helped me very well.
