It is based on lipid colloid technology (TLC) and contains hydrocolloid particles, petrolatum, cohesive polymers and silver salt. The dressing forms a lipidocolloid film in contact with the wound and has the following properties: Maintenance of a moist wound environment, gel formation in contact with the wound, atraumatic release to protect newly formed tissue, painless dressing changes and protection of the wound environment. The silver ions contained have an antibacterial effect and reduce bacterial colonisation and odour in the wound.
