Information for use with the article Tardyferon-Fol depot iron(II) sul. with folic acid Filmtbl. Tardyferon-Fol is an iron preparation with a haematopoietic effect (antianemic) with folic acid. It is used for the treatment of latent iron deficiency and anaemia caused by iron deficiency with folic acid deficiency during pregnancy, the puerperium and the breast-feeding period. Important information (compulsory information): - Indications: Tardyferon-Fol is an iron preparation with a blood-forming effect (antianemic) with folic acid. It is used for the treatment of latent iron deficiency and anaemia caused by iron deficiency with folic acid deficiency during pregnancy, the puerperium and the breast-feeding period. - For risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist. Dosage and directions for use: - Children from 10 years and adults: 1 tablet 1 time daily before or with meals. - Children from 10 years of age (under 32 kg body weight) and adults: 1 tablet 1 time daily in the morning and evening, before or with meals. - Children from 10 years (from 32 kg body weight) and adults: 1 tablet 2 times daily in the morning and evening, before or with meals. - The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. - Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water). - The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. It should be determined in consultation with your doctor. - In the event of an overdose or if you have forgotten to take the medicine, you should contact a doctor immediately. - Note that a dosage prescribed by a doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Contraindications: - It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, haemochromatosis (iron overload), anaemia with iron utilisation disorder and anaemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency. - In the case of gastritis, the benefits and risks should be carefully weighed.
