Area of application

The effervescent tablets are used to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiencies in older people.They also support specific osteoporosis therapy in patients with an increased risk of vitamin D and calcium deficiency.If you do not feel better or even feel worse after taking it, please consult your doctor.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each effervescent tablet contains 2500 mg calcium carbonate, which corresponds to 1000 mg calcium ions, and 0.022 mg colecalciferol, which corresponds to 880 IE colecalciferol.The following excipients are also included: alpha-tocopherol, citric acid (anhydrous), gelatin, lactose 1-water (376.6 mg), macrogol 6000, corn starch, methyl cellulose, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, povidone K25, saccharin sodium salt (3.34 mg), sucrose, simeticone, soybean oil (partially hydrogenated, 0.66).mg), sodium ions (total amount 96.23 mg), orange juice flavor, acetaldehyde, lauryl alcohol, ethyl butyrate, linalool, maltodextrin and artificial flavors.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D or any of the other ingredients.The preparation should also not be used if the calcium content in the blood or urine is too high, if there is severe kidney dysfunction, kidney stones or if the vitamin D content in the blood is too high.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose is one effervescent tablet daily.If you have taken more than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.Symptoms of overdose may include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, drowsiness, confusion, extreme thirst, excessive urine production, and bone pain.If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.If you have any further questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water (200 ml) and drink the entire contents of the glass.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking if you require long-term treatment, have impaired kidney function, are prone to kidney stones, have sarcoidosis or are immobilized and have osteoporosis.Taking other vitamin D or calcium preparations at the same time should also be discussed with a doctor.In the case of osteoporosis, it is recommended to determine the calcium level in the blood before starting treatment.During long-term treatment, the calcium content should be checked regularly.If kidney function is impaired, the doctor should monitor the calcium and phosphate balance.The effervescent tablets are not suitable for children and young people.No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines, but an adverse effect is unlikely.

Pregnancy

Before taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or planning to have a baby.Due to the high dosage of vitamin D, the effervescent tablets should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.Calcium and vitamin D3 pass into breast milk.
