Hydrocortisone ratiopharm® 0.5% cream

Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream is a product for the treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases with minor symptoms.The active ingredient hydrocortisone has an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect.The cream is intended for external use and may be used for a maximum of two weeks without consulting a doctor.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The cream is used for allergic and inflammatory skin irritations, itching, sun-stressed skin and insect bites.Allergic and inflammatory skin reactions can cause severe itching, which impairs well-being.It is important to avoid scratching the affected areas to prevent inflammation.Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream helps to relieve itching and soothe the skin.

Hydrocortisone has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties.It is used for mild inflammatory skin diseases and eczema.The cream is applied to the affected area two to three times a day.As soon as improvement occurs, it is sufficient to apply the cream thinly once a day or every second or third day.The cream can be used on children aged 6 and over, teenagers and adults.

1 g of Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream contains 5 mg hydrocortisone.Other ingredients include stearic acid, propylene glycol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate, octyldodecanol, hard fat and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.The cream must not be used for vaccination reactions or chickenpox.

Dosage

The cream can be applied to the affected area two or three times a day if necessary.To avoid an overdose, the specified dose should not be exceeded.If improvement occurs, the interval can be increased to every two to three days.After the improvement, the cream should be continued to be used for a few days to avoid a recurrence of the disease.

Intake

The cream is applied thinly to the affected areas two to three times a day and rubbed in gently.When using it on the face, make sure that the cream does not get into the eyes.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the cream.If you experience blurred vision or other vision problems, contact your doctor.Children up to the age of 6 may only be treated as prescribed by a doctor.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

The cream must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.In later stages of pregnancy, the cream may only be used after a careful risk-benefit assessment by the treating doctor.Large or long-term use and occlusive dressings should be avoided during pregnancy.The active ingredient contained in the cream passes into breast milk.If you use it over a large area or for a longer period of time, you should stop breastfeeding.Contact of the infant with the treated skin areas should be avoided.

Contains propylene glycol.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
