Hydrocortisone ratiopharm® 0.5% cream

Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream is a product for the treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases with minor symptoms.The active ingredient hydrocortisone has an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The cream is used for skin irritations, itching, sun-stressed skin and insect bites.Allergic and inflammatory skin reactions can cause severe itching, which impairs well-being.To avoid aggravation, scratching the affected area should be avoided.Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream helps to relieve itching and soothe the skin.

Hydrocortisone has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties.It is used for mild inflammatory skin diseases and eczema.The cream should not be used for more than two weeks without consulting a doctor.It is usually applied to the affected area two to three times a day.As soon as an improvement occurs, it is sufficient to apply the cream thinly once a day or every second or third day.The cream can be used on children aged 6 and over, teenagers and adults.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 Gram of Hydrocortisone-ratiopharm® 0.5% cream contains 5 milligrams of hydrocortisone.Other ingredients include stearic acid, propylene glycol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate, octyldodecanol, hard fat and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.It is also not suitable for use in the case of vaccination reactions, chickenpox or certain skin infections.

Dosage and application

The cream is applied thinly to the affected areas two to three times a day and rubbed in gently.If improvement occurs, the interval can be increased to every two to three days.Even after the symptoms have subsided, the cream should continue to be used for a few days to avoid a flare-up.When using it on the face, care should be taken to ensure that the cream does not get into the eyes.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the cream.If you experience blurred vision or other vision problems, contact your doctor.Children up to the age of 6 may only be treated as prescribed by a doctor.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The cream must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.In later stages of pregnancy, use should only be carried out after a careful risk-benefit assessment by the treating doctor.Large or long-term use and occlusive dressings should be avoided.The active ingredient passes into breast milk.If you use it over a large area or for a longer period of time, you should stop breastfeeding.Contact of the infant with the treated skin areas should be avoided.

Contains propylene glycol.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
