Instructions for use for Lavanid wound gel syringe

Lavanid wound gel is a sterile, preserved hydrogel containing 0.04% polyhexanide.The special composition of this product has proven to be particularly tissue-friendly in various studies.

Application and possible uses

The wound gel is ideal for moistening wounds as well as for preserving dressings and wound dressings.It is particularly useful for wounds that are colonized with multi-resistant problem germs.By using preservative dressings, the risk of germs being spread from the wound into the patient's environment is reduced and the wound is protected from germs entering from the outside.In addition, preservation prevents the formation of biofilm.Lavanid wound gel is also ideal for poorly healing and sensitive wounds as well as for autolytic debridement.Chronic wounds often have impaired wound healing, which is why treatment with particularly tissue-friendly preparations such as this wound gel is indicated.

Application

The wound gel is applied directly to the prepared and cleaned wound or to a wound dressing.The wound is then bandaged as usual.

Durability

After first opening, the product should be used within 1 month.

Composition

The composition of Lavanid wound gel includes Ringer's solution, glycerin, macrogol, hydroxyethylcellulose and polyhexanide in a concentration of 0.04 %.
