Medivitan® iV pre-filled syringes contain the following active ingredients: 1 mg cyanocobalamin, 5 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride, 4.11 mg pyridoxine and 1.05 mg folic acid.Sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections are included as excipients.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.The medicine must not be used in the event of hypersensitivity to pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin, folic acid or any of the other ingredients, in the event of inflammatory tissue changes in the application area, in suspected folic acid hypersensitivity, in megaloblastic anemia as a result of an isolated vitamin B12 deficiency and in the case of isolated folic acid deficiency.

Dosage

The recommended dose, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, is to inject one dose intramuscularly or intravenously twice a week and carry out this therapy for 4 weeks (8 injections in total).In the case of intestinal absorption disorders, the drug should be administered intramuscularly or intravenously at intervals of 4 weeks.Folic acid should be taken orally daily between injections.

Medivitan® iV pre-filled syringes are intended for intramuscular or intravenous injection.

Patient information

The injection side must be changed with each injection.When used intramuscularly, the injection must be slow and deep.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Medivitan® iV prefilled syringe contains sodium.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
