How the Braun Thermoscan works

The Braun Thermoscan measures the infrared heat emitted by the eardrum and surrounding tissue.The preheated measuring tip ensures reliable measurement.The device continuously measures infrared energy and stops measuring once an accurate temperature has been recorded.

Why measure in the ear?

Using the Braun Thermoscan

To use the thermometer, remove it from the storage box and turn it on.Put on a new protective cap and select the age.Insert the measuring probe into the ear canal and press the start button.The ExacTemp lamp flashes during the measurement and lights up for 3 seconds if the measurement is successful.A signal tone confirms the successful measurement.

For the next measurement, remove the protective cap and put a new one on.The thermometer will automatically turn off after 60 seconds of inactivity.
