How to use your Braun ThermoScan 3

To turn on the thermometer, press the start button.During the internal self-test, the display shows all elements.The measured value displayed is the last temperature measurement.A flashing protective cap icon will be displayed when no protective cap is attached.The temperature can only be measured if the protective cap has been placed on the measuring probe.The thermometer is ready to use when two beeps are heard and a steady ear symbol is displayed.

Insert the measuring head as far into the ear canal as possible and press the start button.A beep indicates normal temperature.Audible temperature detection triggers two consecutive beeps when the reading is 37.5°C or higher, or four beeps when the reading is 38.6°C or higher.The result is shown on the display.Carefully pull off the disposable protective cap and put on a new disposable protective cap.Put on the cover cap.The thermometer automatically turns off after 60 seconds of inactivity and can be turned off by long pressing the start button.
