BERBERIL Dry Eye eye drops, 3X10 ml

Area of application

Berberil® Dry Eye eye drops are tear substitutes.They are used for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye symptoms of the cornea and conjunctiva.These can be caused by tear secretion and tear dysfunction, local or systemic diseases and inadequate or incomplete eyelid closure.Symptoms can include burning eyes, foreign body sensation and photophobia due to wind, heat and fatigue.The eye drops are also suitable for wetting and re-wetting hard contact lenses.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The eye drops contain 3.2 mg hypromellose as the active ingredient.Cetrimide, disodium edetate 2-water, disodium hydrogen phosphate 12-water, sodium dihydrogen phosphate 2-water, sorbitol and water for injection purposes are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use.

Dosage

The eye drops are applied directly to the eye.Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid down with the index finger of one hand.Hold the dropper bottle vertically over the eye and drip a drop into the conjunctival sac.Slowly close your eye and move it back and forth to spread the drop well.Close the bottle with the protective cap immediately after each use.

Dosage is as needed, usually 3 to 5 times daily or more frequently.In the case of soft contact lenses, they should be removed before use and only reinserted approximately 15 minutes after instillation.Hard contact lenses do not need to be removed.

It is usually used as long-term or permanent therapy.In the case of long-term or continuous use to treat dry eye, an ophthalmologist should always be consulted.

Intake

The eye drops are dripped directly into the conjunctival sac.Be careful not to touch the dropper tip to avoid contamination.

Patient information

Since this medicine, even when used as intended, can briefly affect your visual performance and thus your ability to react due to the formation of streaks, you should not drive, work without a secure footing or operate machines during this time.Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children.

Pregnancy

There are no concerns about its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding as hypromellose is not absorbed and is therefore not systemically available.Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not store it above 30°C.The eye drops must not be used for longer than 6 weeks after opening.After opening, store the medicine at room temperature and in the dark.
