Area of application

This medicine contains the active ingredients ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and pseudoephedrine, a vasoconstrictor that is used to treat swelling of the nasal mucosa.Ibuprofen has pain-relieving, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.Pseudoephedrine reduces the swelling of the nasal mucosa through its vasoconstrictor effect.

The medication is used for the symptomatic treatment of swelling of the mucous membranes in the nose and sinuses in combination with headache, fever and/or cold or flu-related pain.It is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 15 and over.

Use this combination medication only if you have both a stuffy nose and pain or fever.This medicine is not suitable for isolated complaints.If your symptoms do not improve or worsen after five days, please consult a doctor.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen and 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, equivalent to 24.58 mg pseudoephedrine.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium salt, iron(II,III) oxide, iron (III) hydroxide oxide-x-water, iron (III) oxide, hypromellose, macrogol 3350, macrogol 400, pre-gelatinized corn starch, mica, sodium dodecyl sulfate, poly (vinyl alcohol), polysorbate 80, povidone K30,highly disperse silicon dioxide, stearic acid, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for children and adolescents under 15 years of age and must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Avoid use if you have a history of allergic reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other painkillers, have or have had a stomach ulcer, suffer from severe liver, kidney or heart failure, or if you have severe heart or circulatory problems, hyperthyroidism, diabetes or pheochromocytoma.

The medication should not be taken if you have had a heart attack or stroke, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, have had seizures, have unexplained blood disorders, have glaucoma, have problems urinating due to prostate problems, have systemic lupus erythematosus, or are taking certain medicines such as acetylsalicylic acid, other NSAIDs, vasoconstrictors, or non-selective monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over can take one film-coated tablet every 4 to 6 hours.If symptoms are more severe, two film-coated tablets can be taken every 6 to 8 hours.The maximum daily dose is six film-coated tablets.

The medicine is only intended for short-term use.Do not take it for more than five days.If symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

If you have taken an overdose, seek medical advice immediately.If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose to make up for it.

Intake

The medicine is for oral use only.It is best to take the film-coated tablets with a little water on a full stomach.Do not break or crush the film-coated tablets.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you suffer from asthma, have a blood clotting disorder, are taking blood thinners, are taking medicines that may increase the risk of stomach ulcers or bleeding, have high blood pressure or heart problems, have heart failure, psychosis or diabetes, have previously suffered from a gastrointestinal tract disease, have kidney or liver problems or are taking medicine for migraines.

Medicines like this may be associated with a slightly increased risk of a heart attack or stroke.The risk increases with dose and duration of treatment.The recommended dose or treatment duration must not be exceeded.

If you have heart problems or have ever had a stroke, or think you may be at risk of developing these conditions, you should discuss your treatment with your doctor or pharmacist. You should avoid consuming alcohol during treatment.

The medicine has no known influence on the ability to drive and use machines.In individual cases dizziness or hallucinations may occur.This possibility must be taken into account.

The use of this medicine may lead to positive results in doping tests.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.The active ingredients ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine can cause serious harm to the unborn child.The active ingredients have been shown to occur in breast-fed infants of women who have taken these active ingredients.

The preparation contains ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect female fertility.This effect is reversible after discontinuation of the drug.
