Aspirin® Plus C Forte

Aspirin® Plus C Forte is an effective remedy for mild to moderate pain and fever.It is particularly suitable for headaches, toothaches, period pains as well as painful symptoms associated with colds such as headaches, sore throats and body aches.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each Aspirin® Plus C Forte effervescent tablet contains 800 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 480 mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C).Additionally included are sodium dihydrogen citrate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid and sodium carbonate.Vitamin C has an antioxidant effect and contributes to good tolerability.The buffering substances improve the solubility of the active ingredient so that it can be absorbed more quickly by the body.

Mode of action

Aspirin® Plus C Forte works quickly and effectively because the active ingredient is already activated in the water and can therefore be absorbed more quickly by the body.The effervescent tablet ensures a quick development of the effect.By dissolving it in water, you take in additional fluids, which is particularly important for colds.

Area of application

Aspirin® Plus C Forte is used for severe headaches and cold pains as well as fever.It is particularly effective against headaches, toothaches, period pains and painful symptoms associated with colds.The effervescent tablet contains twice the amount of acetylsalicylic acid and vitamin C compared to the classic Aspirin® Plus C.

Dosage and intake

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take an effervescent tablet.The single dose can be taken at intervals of 4-8 hours up to three times daily if necessary.The effervescent tablet must be completely dissolved in water before taking and then drunk directly.Do not take the effervescent tablet on an empty stomach.You should not take Aspirin® Plus C Forte for longer than four days without medical or dental advice.

Contraindications

Aspirin® Plus C Forte should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to the ingredients, if you have acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, if you have a pathologically increased bleeding tendency, if you have liver and kidney failure, if you have severe heart failure, if you take more than 15 mg of methotrexate per week, or in the last three months of pregnancy.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this preparation if you are hypersensitive to other painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs or certain medicines for rheumatism, or if you have allergies, asthma, hay fever, swollen nasal mucous membranes or chronic respiratory diseases.You should also consult if you are being treated at the same time with anticoagulant drugs, have a history of stomach or intestinal ulcers, have impaired liver or kidney function, or are planning to undergo surgery.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.You should not take the product in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.You should not take acetylsalicylic acid in the last three months of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and baby.The active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid and its breakdown products pass into breast milk in small quantities.If the recommended dose is used occasionally, breast-feeding does not need to be interrupted.However, if you use it for a long time or take high doses, you should stop breastfeeding.
