Information for use with the article Eisen Verla 35 mg: - Eisen Verla 35 mg is an iron preparation for the treatment of iron deficiency. - Contains the active substance ferrous gluconate (Ph.Eur.). - The tablets are coated and tasteless. - Suitable for children, adolescents and adults. - Recommended dosage for adults and adolescents over 50 kg: 1-2 tablets 2-3 times daily, half an hour before meals. - For children over 12 kg body weight: 1-2 times daily 1 tablet. Children over 18 kg can take one tablet 2-3 times a day. - Overdose can lead to nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. - Contraindications include hypersensitivity to iron(II) gluconate, anaemia due to infections or tumours, iron overload of the body and iron utilisation disorders. - Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints such as abdominal pain and nausea. - Pregnant and breastfeeding women can take Eisen Verla 35 mg. - Read the package leaflet before use and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. - Manufacturer: Verla-Pharm Arzneimittel GmbH & Co.
