Directions for use - Iron tablets-ratiopharm 100 mg: Iron Tablets-ratiopharm 100 mg is a medicine used to treat iron deficiency. It is used to treat iron deficiency conditions. The tablets should not be taken if there is an allergy to iron or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. It should also not be taken if there is anaemia caused by infection or cancer, unless there is also an iron deficiency. Similarly, it should not be taken if there are elevated iron levels in the blood and iron utilisation disorders. Before taking the tablets, patients with gastrointestinal disorders or ulcers should consult their doctor. In addition, the risk of possible iron overdose should be avoided when using other iron salt supplements. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water to avoid mouth ulcers and tooth discolouration. Taking them together with certain antibiotics, Parkinson's medicines and thyroid hormones, as well as with certain foods, may impair the absorption of iron. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the tablets should only be taken after consulting a doctor. The recommended dose for adults is 1 tablet 1-2 times daily, corresponding to 100-200 mg iron.
