The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet 1 to 4 times a day, depending on the iron deficiency. For children weighing 25 kg or more, the recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet 1 to 3 times a day. Use in children with a body weight below 25 kg is not intended. No specific dosage recommendations are available for patients with kidney or liver disease. The tablets should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach or 1 hour before meals with sufficient liquid. The recommended duration of treatment is at least 8 weeks.
