Iron tablets AbZ 50 mg film-coated tablets are used to treat iron deficiency conditions. The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet 1-4 times a day, for children from 25 kg body weight 1 film-coated tablet 1-3 times a day. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. Treatment should be given over a period of at least 8 weeks to achieve therapeutic success. After normalisation of the blood values, the treatment should be continued for another 6-8 weeks. Iron Tablets AbZ 50 mg must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance, in certain forms of anaemia, and in cases of accumulation of iron in the blood. Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, loss of appetite and discolouration of the stools. The medicinal product should be stored away from heat.
