Description of the preparation
This preparation is a combination of neurotropic vitamins, namely thiamine (vitamin B1) and pyridoxine (vitamin B6).It is used for neurological systemic diseases caused by a proven deficiency of these vitamins.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The medicine contains the active ingredients pyridoxine hydrochloride and thiamine hydrochloride.One film-coated tablet contains 100 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride, which corresponds to 82.27 mg pyridoxine, and 100 mg thiamine hydrochloride, which corresponds to 89.19 mg thiamine.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt, cellulose, microcrystalline, hypromellose, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, corn starch, silicon dioxide, highly disperse, talc, titanium dioxide and 23 mg total sodium ion.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to thiamine chloride hydrochloride (vitamin B1), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet 1 to 3 times daily, which corresponds to a daily dose of 100 - 300 mg vitamin B1 and vitamin B6.The maximum daily dose should not be exceeded.
After four weeks of therapy, the doctor should decide whether the administration of vitamin B1 and B6 in high doses is still necessary.
If you have taken more than you should, vitamin B1 taken orally is of little harm.Poisoning in the strict sense is unknown.Only very high doses (over 10 g) can block the transmission of stimuli from nerve cells.The toxic potential of vitamin B6 is considered to be very low.With long-term intake of daily doses of more than 50 mg of vitamin B6 and with short-term intake of daily doses of more than 1 g of vitamin B6, abnormal sensations such as tingling or pins and needles can occur in the hands and feet.In the event of an overdose, there are no substance-specific countermeasures;it must be treated according to the complaints.
Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.For successful treatment, it is important that you take the medicine for the full length of time recommended by your doctor.

Intake
The film-coated tablets are taken whole before or after meals with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.
Patient information
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product if you notice any discomfort such as tingling or pins and needles on your hands and feet.The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the recommended daily intake for vitamin B1 is 1.4 - 1.6 mg and for vitamin B6 2.4 - 2.6 mg.These dosages may only be exceeded if the patient has a proven vitamin B1 and B6 deficiency.Vitamin B1 and B6 are excreted in breast milk.High doses of vitamin B6 can inhibit milk production.The treating doctor should decide to what extent this preparation can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
