Mode of action

Ingredients of Fenistil drops - oral solution: 1 ml (approx. 20 drops) contain the active ingredient dimetindene maleate in a concentration of 1 mg.Other ingredients include purified water, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph.Eur.), citric acid monohydrate, benzoic acid, sodium edetate (Ph.Eur.), saccharin sodium and propylene glycol.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 20 to 40 drops three times a day.Patients prone to drowsiness are recommended to take 40 drops before bed and 20 drops in the morning.

For children aged one to eleven years, the recommended daily dose is 2 drops per kg of body weight, divided into three individual doses.The body weight in kg is multiplied by 2 and then divided by 3.The result indicates the number of drops that can be taken three times a day.Small children under one year of age are not allowed to take Fenistil drops; if they have an allergic cold, only from the age of six.

Intake

The drops are taken undiluted.To drip, hold the bottle with the dropper vertically downwards.If you have difficulty dripping, tap the bottom of the bottle several times with your finger.

Contraindications
