Directions for use of the article MomeAllerg Nasal Spray 50 µg/spray puff: MomeAllerg Nasal Spray contains the active substance mometasone furoate and is used for the symptomatic treatment of hay fever. Hay fever is an allergic rhinitis caused by the inhalation of pollen. MomeAllerg relieves the symptoms of hay fever, such as sneezing, itching and stuffy or runny nose, by reducing inflammation. There are some points that should be considered before using MomeAllerg Nasal Spray. The nasal spray should not be used if there is an allergy to mometasone furoate or other ingredients of the medicine, if there is an untreated nasal infection, or if there has been recent nasal surgery or injury. Precautions should also be taken if tuberculosis, other infections, cystic fibrosis or a weakened immune system are present. MomeAllerg nasal spray is used by spraying it into each nostril. The usual dose is two sprays per nostril once a day. After the symptoms are under control, the dose can be reduced to one spray per nostril. It is important to use the nasal spray regularly and not to stop using it abruptly. Possible side effects of MomeAllerg nasal spray may include headache, nosebleed and sore throat. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur that require immediate medical attention. Long-term use of nasal sprays containing steroids can lead to other side effects, such as an increase in intraocular pressure and damage to the nasal septum.
