The RC-Cornet® PLUS is a respiratory therapy device that helps patients with chronic lung and bronchial diseases loosen and remove bronchial secretions.This leads to a reduction in shortness of breath and coughing.The device is suitable for patients aged 2.5 years and over, provided they can consciously coordinate inhalation and exhalation through their mouth.For children, therapy should always be accompanied by an adult.In severely impaired and tracheostomized patients, therapy should only be carried out with the support of a nurse or physiotherapist.No prescription is required for this product.

How it works

In setting 1 of the RC-Cornet® PLUS , a uniform exhalation pressure with vibrations is generated during exhalation (“stabilizing OPEP”).Constrictions are opened and parts of the alveoli are ventilated again.This reduces shortness of breath.In setting 2, a slowly increasing pressure is built up during exhalation, which then drops suddenly (“mobilizing OPEP”).This loosens stuck and viscous secretions from the bronchial walls and liquefies them.The mucus is then transported upwards and can be coughed up more easily.

Advantages
