Vomex A® Reise has a quick and long-lasting effect against nausea and vomiting.The sublingual tablets melt under the tongue and can be taken without water.They are suitable for adults and children over 12 years old and have a mint flavor.

Nausea can have various causes, be it on the move, due to migraines, a gastrointestinal infection or hormonal influences.Vomex A® Reise contains the active ingredient dimenhydrinate, which is effective against motion sickness and vomiting.The effects begin within 30 minutes and last up to six hours.

Dimenhydrinate works directly in the vomiting center of the brain.It blocks histamine receptors so that signals that trigger nausea and vomiting are not transmitted.This means that the histamine cannot work and the nausea subsides.

Area of application

Vomex A® Travel Sublingual Tablets are used to prevent and treat motion sickness in adults and children over 12 years of age.The daily dose should not exceed 400 mg.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each tablet contains 50 mg dimenhydrinate as active ingredient.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol, methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1), carboxymethyl starch sodium type A, vanilla aroma, saccharin, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable), levomenthol and talc.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is 1 to 2 sublingual tablets (50 mg to 100 mg) 3 or 4 times daily.The tablets should be taken sublingually by placing them under the tongue until they dissolve without water.Do not chew or swallow.The first dose should be taken at least 30 to 60 minutes before traveling.The maximum daily dose is 400 mg.

No prescription is required for this product.

Intake

To prevent motion sickness, the first dose should be taken approximately 30 to 60 minutes before the start of the trip.When treating nausea and vomiting, doses should be taken throughout the day.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the tablets if you have impaired liver function, cardiac arrhythmias, potassium or magnesium deficiency, slow heartbeat, certain heart diseases, chronic breathing problems, asthma or a narrowing at the exit of the stomach.In these cases, the medicine may only be taken after consulting your doctor.

The tablets should not be used in children under 6 years of age.Special lower-dose dosage forms are available for this age group.

Drowsiness, memory problems and reduced ability to concentrate can have an adverse effect on the ability to drive or work with machines.This is particularly true after insufficient sleep, when starting treatment and changing medications, and in combination with alcohol.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Dimenhydrinate can cause premature labor.The safety of use during pregnancy has not been proven.A risk cannot be ruled out based on clinical data.You may only take dimenhydrinate after consulting your doctor and only if he or she considers it to be absolutely necessary.

Dimenhydrinate passes into breast milk.The safety of use during breastfeeding has not been proven.Since undesirable effects, such as increased restlessness, on the breastfed child cannot be ruled out, you should either not take the product while breastfeeding or stop breastfeeding while you are taking it.
