Mode of action

Laxatan M granules have a triple active complex against constipation.The natural fiber inulin strengthens the intestinal flora by promoting the reproduction of important bacteria.At the same time, the breakdown of inulin creates acid, which creates a hostile environment for pathogenic bacteria.Macrogol is a water-binding carrier substance that softens hardened stools in the colon.The granules have no habituation effect and can therefore be used over a longer period of time.

1 Bag with 15.35 g granules contains: Macrogol 13.125 g, Mg citrate 0.25 g, Ca citrate 0.125 g, potassium chloride 0.015 g and inulin 1 g.The granules have a lemon flavor and contain 0.007 bread units.

Contraindications

Laxatan M must not be taken if there is an intestinal obstruction, an acute inflammatory disease of the intestine such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, unclear abdominal pain or an impending intestinal perforation.Children and adolescents under the age of 16 should only be taken after consulting a doctor.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 16 and over can take 1 sachet of Laxatan M, dissolved in a glass of water (125 ml), 1-3 times a day.For long-term use, the dose can be reduced to 1-2 sachets.Laxatan M can be taken both over a longer period of time and repeatedly.It can be taken at any time of the day, regardless of a meal.Treatment usually lasts a maximum of 30 days, but can be longer if necessary, especially if the constipation is caused by a chronic illness or necessary medication.During long-term treatment the dose is usually 1-2 sachets per day.
