1 ml injection solution contains the active ingredient: procaine hydrochloride 10 mg.The other ingredients are: sodium chloride, water for injections, hydrochloric acid 10% for pH adjustment.
Contraindications
Procain-Loges 1% injection solution ampoules must not be used if you are hypersensitive to procaine, other local anesthetics of the ester type, sulfonamides, benzoic acid or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also prohibited if there is a known deficiency of pseudocholinesterase or for injection into arteries, epidural or spinal.
Dosage
Procain-Loges 1% solution for injection ampoules is generally used by a doctor or healthcare professional.It is injected intracutaneously into healthy skin and should only be injected by people with appropriate knowledge.
The dosage must be made individually.The following applies as a single dose for adolescents over 15 years of age and adults: up to 10 mg of procaine hydrochloride per wheal, corresponding to 1 ml of solution.The recommended maximum dose for one-time use is 500 mg procaine, and for use in the head, neck and genital area 200 mg procaine within 2 hours.
If you have certain previous illnesses or impaired liver or kidney function, the dose must be adjusted accordingly.Use immediately after opening the container and discard any unused residue.
Intake
The preparation is injected into the skin (intracutaneously) depending on the nerve block required.It should only be sprayed by people with the appropriate knowledge to carry out the respective applications successfully.
Patient information
