Area of application

Ginkgo-ADGC 120 mg contains an extract of ginkgo leaves.It is used for the symptomatic treatment of organic brain-related performance disorders as part of an overall therapeutic concept in the event of a decline or loss of acquired mental abilities (dementia syndrome) with the main complaints: memory disorders, concentration disorders, depressed mood, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches.

The individual response to medication cannot be predicted.Before treatment is started, it should be clarified whether the symptoms are not due to an underlying disease that requires specific treatment.Frequently occurring feelings of dizziness and ringing in the ears should always be clarified by a doctor.If hearing loss or hearing loss suddenly occurs, you should see a doctor immediately.

Each film-coated tablet contains 120 mg ginkgo leaf dry extract (35-67:1), extractant: acetone 60% (m/m).The extract contains ginkgo flavonoid glycosides, terpene lactones, ginkgolides A+B+C, bilobalides and ginkgolic acids.Other ingredients are cellulose, microcrystalline, citric acid, anhydrous, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x-water, Eudragit E 100, glucose syrup, spray-dried, lactose 1-water, lactose, magnesium stearate, castor oil, hydrogenated, saccharin, sodium salt, silicon dioxide, highly disperse, amorphous, hydrophobic, talc and vanillin.

Contraindications

The product must not be taken if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba extracts or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as directed.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is ½ - 1 film-coated tablet twice a day (corresponding to 120 - 240 mg ginkgo extract per day).

In the case of performance disorders caused by organic brain disorders, the treatment duration should be at least 8 weeks.After a treatment period of 3 months, the doctor must check whether continued treatment is still justified.

If you have taken more than you should, please notify a doctor.Next time, do not take a double dose if you forget to take it, but continue taking it as prescribed or described.

Intake

The film-coated tablets are intended to be taken orally.Please take the film-coated tablets whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).It is taken in the morning and evening and can be taken independently of meals.

If you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding or are being treated at the same time with anticoagulant medicines, this medicine should only be used after consulting a doctor.Ginkgo-containing preparations can increase the risk of bleeding, so this medicine must be discontinued before surgery.Please inform your doctor in good time.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children under 12 years of age.It should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Experimental studies showed no evidence of a teratogenic effect of the ginkgo extract.However, since there is no experience in humans and its use during pregnancy is not justified, the benefits of treatment during pregnancy must be carefully weighed against the possible risks.It is not known whether the ingredients of ginkgo extract pass into breast milk.

No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.
