Ginkgo ADGC 120 mg film-coated tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of brain-organic performance disorders as part of an overall therapeutic concept in the case of a decrease or loss of acquired mental abilities (dementia syndrome). The main complaints are memory disorders, concentration disorders, depressive mood, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches. The individual response to medication cannot be predicted. Before treatment, it should be clarified whether the symptoms are not due to an underlying disease that needs specific treatment. Dizziness and ringing in the ears should always be clarified by a doctor. In case of sudden hearing loss, a doctor should also be consulted. The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1/2 - 1 film-coated tablet twice daily, corresponding to 120 - 240 mg ginkgo extract per day. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks and should be reviewed by the doctor after 3 months. In the event of an overdose, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and allergic skin reactions may occur. In case of a forgotten intake, the regular intake should be continued without taking the double amount. The medicinal product contains dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves and other excipients. It must not be taken if there is an allergy to ginkgo biloba extracts or any of the other ingredients. In case of pregnancy and lactation, a doctor should be consulted before use. Side effects occur only rarely and may include disturbances of well-being. Large quantities should not be taken. The medicinal product must be stored away from heat.
