Ginkgo-Maren 120 mg Film-Coated Tablets are a medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of brain-organic performance disorders as part of an overall therapeutic concept in cases of decrease or loss of acquired mental abilities (dementia syndrome). The main complaints include memory disorders, concentration disorders, depressive mood, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches. It should be noted that the effect may vary from individual to individual and it should be clarified before starting treatment whether the symptoms are not due to a specific underlying disease. Frequent dizziness and ringing in the ears should always be clarified by a doctor, as should sudden hearing loss. Ginkgo-Maren 120 mg film-coated tablets contain an extract of ginkgo leaves. They are taken twice daily in the morning and evening with sufficient liquid. The recommended dose for adults aged 18 and over is 1/2 - 1 film-coated tablet per dose (equivalent to 120 - 240 mg of ginkgo extract per day). The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks and after 3 months it should be checked whether a continuation of the treatment is still necessary. In the event of an overdose, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and allergic skin reactions may occur. The intake should be continued at the next prescribed time in case of a forgotten dose, without taking the double amount. Ginkgo-Maren 120 mg Film-Coated Tablets are not intended for persons under 18 years of age. The medicinal product should be stored protected from heat at a temperature below 25 °C. It must not be disposed of in the waste water. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions about taking the medicine or if any adverse effects occur.
