Ginkgo-Maren 120 mg Film-Coated Tablets: Ginkgo-Maren 120 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain an extract of ginkgo leaves and are used for the symptomatic treatment of brain-organic performance disorders as part of an overall therapeutic concept in the case of a decrease or loss of acquired mental abilities (dementia syndrome). The main complaints treated are memory disorders, concentration disorders, depressive mood, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches. The individual response to the drug cannot be predicted. Before starting treatment, it should be clarified whether the symptoms are not due to an underlying disease that needs specific treatment. Frequent dizziness and ringing in the ears should always be clarified by a doctor. In case of sudden hearing loss, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Ginkgo Maren 120 mg film-coated tablets should be taken twice daily (in the morning and evening) with sufficient liquid. Adults aged 18 years and over should take 1/2 to 1 tablet per dose (equivalent to 120-240 mg of ginkgo extract per day). The film-coated tablets should not be taken while lying down. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks and after 3 months it should be checked whether the continuation of the treatment is still justified. Overdose may cause increased side effects, so a doctor should be contacted immediately if suspected. If the dose is forgotten, the next dose should be taken at the regular time without taking twice the amount.
