It is used to treat allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, in children from 1 year of age, adolescents and adults. It contains propylene glycol and benzalkonium chloride. The nasal spray is used twice a day, with 2 sprays per nostril. For more severe symptoms, the dosage can be increased to up to 4 times a day. The medicine is sprayed into the nose after the nose has been cleansed. The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the course of the disease. No overdose symptoms are known. The nasal spray must not be used in babies under 1 year of age. In case of accidental ingestion of the nasal spray, a doctor should be consulted. If the application is forgotten, the treatment should be continued at the next time. Livocab direct nasal spray must be stored away from heat and used for a maximum of 3 months after opening. The nasal spray contains levocabastine hydrochloride, water, purified, propylene glycol, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate 1 H2O, hypromellose, polysorbate 80, benzalkonium chloride solution and sodium edetate. The active ingredient levocabastine prevents an allergic reaction by keeping histamine away from the mucous membranes. Livocab direct nasal spray acts quickly and locally on the nose without causing habituation effects. It is well tolerated and is suitable for adults and children from 1 year of age. The nasal spray helps with allergic symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling or sneezing. It contains no preservatives and has a local effect. It should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if there is impaired kidney function. Livocab direct nasal spray should be used with caution during pregnancy or breast-feeding. Irritation of the nose may occur and the ability to react may be impaired.
