The medicine Ichthotop 200mg/g gel contains the active ingredient sodium bituminosulfonate and is used to treat bacterial skin diseases such as impetigo. It has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect, which can lead to faster relief of symptoms such as redness and pain. The gel should be applied to the affected skin area twice a day and can be covered with a bandage if needed. The duration of use should not exceed 14 days. The medicine should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. No special precautions are required during use. Hands should be washed thoroughly before use and accidental contact with the eyes should be avoided.
