Package Leaflet for the article FRUCTOSIN Capsules Product properties: FRUCTOSiN® contains the active ingredient xylose isomerase (EC 5.3.1.5) and other ingredients such as microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and shellac. The product does not contain histamine, lactose or gluten. It is also free of preservatives and artificial flavourings. FRUCTOSIN Capsules from STADA help convert fructose into glucose, which is easier to digest. This alleviates symptoms such as flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea and disturbed intestinal function. The effect of xylose isomerase: Xylose isomerase is an enzyme that creates a balanced ratio of fructose and glucose. If the body cannot produce the enzyme itself, fructose cannot be adequately absorbed, resulting in an excess of fructose in the intestine. The FRUCTOSIN capsules contain xylose isomerase, which converts fructose to help relieve symptoms. How do I take FRUCTOSIN capsules properly? It is recommended to take 1-2 capsules FRUCTOSIN before a meal containing fructose with some water. The total fructose intake determines the exact amount to be taken. The maximum daily amount is 6 capsules. What do I have to pay attention to when taking the capsules? The capsule should be swallowed whole. If you have problems swallowing, the capsule can be opened and the contents taken immediately with water. FRUCTOSIN Capsules are not suitable for people with hereditary fructose intolerance.
