Information for use with the article Diclo-ratiopharm bei Schmerzen und Fieber 25 mg FTA: - This preparation is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory/antirheumatic drugs (NSAIDs). - It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever. - The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over is 1 film-coated tablet (25 mg diclofenac potassium) to start with, followed by another tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but not more than 3 tablets (75 mg diclofenac potassium) within 24 hours. - The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with plenty of liquid, preferably neither with nor immediately after food. - The medicine should not be taken for more than 4 days for mild to moderate pain or for more than 3 days for fever without medical advice. - If overdose is suspected, symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, liver and kidney dysfunction are possible. Medical treatment should be sought in this case. - If the dose is forgotten, do not take the double dose, but take the next prescribed dose at the normal time. - Note possible side effects such as gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, skin reactions and increase in liver values. - People with certain pre-existing conditions or allergies should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. - Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. - Prolonged use of painkillers may result in headaches caused by the medicine. Chronic headache development should be avoided. - Note that the medicine may impair the ability to react, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.
