Directions for use of the article Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma 0,5 % Creme Important information (compulsory data): Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma 0.5 % cream. Active substance: Hydrocortisone. Indications: For the relief of moderately pronounced inflammatory skin disorders. Warning: Contains cetylstearyl alcohol and potassium sorbate. Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma is a synthetically produced glucocorticoid (adrenocortical hormone) for use on the skin. It is used to relieve moderately severe inflammatory skin conditions. Before using Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma, certain contraindications should be observed. The medicine must not be used in cases of allergy to hydrocortisone or any of the other ingredients, certain skin diseases, viral infections such as herpes, bacterial skin infections, fungal infections, open wounds, on mucous membranes, in cases of skin inflammation near the mouth, in the eye, during the first trimester of pregnancy and in cases of diseases caused by a disorder of hormonal regulation. Certain precautions should be observed before using Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma, e.g. in skin infections caused by bacteria or fungi, use on the face and body folds, around skin ulcers, in the genital and anal areas. It should not be used on large areas of skin, under occlusive dressings or on severely damaged skin. The recommended dose for adults and children from 6 years of age is 1-2 times daily at the beginning of the treatment. With improvement of the clinical picture, one application per day is usually sufficient. The duration of application should not exceed 2 weeks. Apply the cream thinly to the affected areas of the skin and rub in gently. Hydrocort - 1 A Pharma can cause side effects such as skin irritation or allergic skin reactions. Other possible side effects are blurred vision, reduction in adrenal cortical function, symptoms of Cushing's syndrome, increase in intraocular pressure, dryness of the skin, favouring of infections, delay in wound healing. With prolonged use, other side effects may occur such as thinning of the skin, visible enlargement of the capillaries, stretch marks, steroid acne, skin inflammation near the mouth, increased body hair, changes in skin pigmentation and inhibition of the body's own ACTH-secretion.
